In the future I already predict more opportunities to support my family and friends who have goals to be business owners themselves but do not have the capital or the business mind to grow a business. It could be as simple as not having the confidence in starting but they just need that little push. When I believe in someone, I want to help them grow.
In growing Vantage Law, we have needed other businesses to help us with our growth. It could be with marketing where we need our logo on cookies and treats – with that I have been working with my neighbour, Emily (Cakes by Emily K) for the last seven years. It could be for a courier service where a friend is looking to make some extra cash, I am happy to have him help. It could be gifting for clients and referral partners, so we look to our family and friends who have various side hustles that align with our goals. We want to bring with us our family and friends instead of going to big box corporations, why not foster a community of like-minded individuals?
Helping those we know is something I will continue to do throughout my career and beyond. This is a quality that is inherently me. If I can create an opportunity for someone, it doesn’t make sense to me to not do it.
Success, to me, isn’t only about what I achieve—it’s about who I bring along on the journey.
As I look forward towards the next five or ten years, my goals are centered around continuing to nurture these relationships. Professionally, I’m excited about the growth of Vantage Law, the expansion of Piccolo Toronto, and perhaps even starting new ventures like an injectables clinic. But above all, I want to keep exploring the world, investing in my health, and spending time doing what I love with the people who mean the most to me.
With Vantage Law, I want to continue to grow, where we can empower more legal professionals and team members grow in whatever they want. Whether its as a corporate lawyer, a wills and estates lawyer, expanding the practice to British Columbia or if we have a legal assistant who wants to foster a career in social media and marketing.
